The second Transnational JoinMe2 Project Meeting

The second Transnational JoinMe2 Project Meeting

The second Transnational JoinMe2 Project Meeting took place in beautiful Leuven, Belgium, on 29-30 October 2021.

We finally met our new project members face to face - Fransizka, Alisha - we are more than happy you joined us! Our meeting concentrated on the first project study, which included mixed types of methods: psychometric, quantitative, and qualitative, as well as the future steps we shall take to ascertain the success of our project.

The first part of our study - September 2020 to September 2021 - focused on a psychometric approach, which included:

1. the study of the literature to find out the ‘state of the art in the field of testing of such parameters as gender, cultural awareness, ethnic background, sexual preferences, and disability;

2. the construction of the research scales for students and teachers for testing of such parameters as gender, cultural awareness, ethnic background, sexual preferences, and disability for the aims of our study;

3. the pilot study of psychometric characteristics created by us research scales.

The pilot study was a great success! We had 186 student participants (Turkey 45; Greece 28; Belgium 43; UK 16; Germany 2; Poland 52) and 126 instructor participants (Turkey 34; Poland 27; UK 7; Greece 40; Belgium 18).

We are disseminating new surveys at the moment and anticipating the next meeting in Turkey. In the meantime, a little ‘bonus meeting’ - look forward to more details and pictures"
