Vana Chiou currently is member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean in Educational Psychology. She graduated from the Department of Preschool Education, University of Patras, Greece, in 1999. She completed her PhD dissertation entitled “The promotion of mental health among preschoolers aged 4-6 years old: The implementation of I Can Problem Solve Program in Greek kindergarten schools” at the Department of Preschool Education and Educational Design, University of the Aegean, Greece, in 2016. She teaches Didactics and Educational Psychology at the undergraduate level and Methods of Teaching and Promoting Human Geography at the post-graduate level. Her research interests include: didactics in teaching geography, differentiated instruction in mixed-ability and multicultural classrooms, teachers’ training, and self -regulated learning
